Bespoke mechanical puppet and ventriloquist-figure commissions
Commission a character with a face—and mechanisms—of its own.
Phillips Puppets / Austin Phillips
Austin Phillips makes one-of-a-kind ventriloquist figures, puppets and novelty creations for performers and collectors. The owned order page invites descriptions of custom projects rather than limiting buyers to stock characters. A September 2026 firsthand studio interview also documents custom figures based on real people, offering an unusually personal commissioned-object possibility.
Current location note / listed area: Portland, Maine workshop; commissioned objects by inquiry
This is a maker commission, not a booked ventriloquist performance or wedding package. Confirm whether the proposed likeness or character is accepted, its mechanisms, dimensions, lead time and delivery arrangements. Portland workshop geography is corroborated by the September 27, 2026 Press Herald studio report; the owned ordering page does not publish a street address. No stock or completion date is guaranteed.
