Bespoke animatronic creatures and walkaround costume rentals
Build a creature with moving eyes and a hidden performer.
The Jim Henson Company / Jim Henson’s Creature Shop
Jim Henson’s Creature Shop offers custom mechanized creatures, full-sized human-worn robots and animals, and soft puppets. Its current services also list rentals of generic animatronic animals and walkaround creatures, while its live-event portfolio demonstrates mechanical blinking and ear movement built into character suits.
Current location note / listed area: Los Angeles, California, and New York workshop; business production inquiries
Specialist business-to-business fabrication and rental inquiry, not an advertised personal wedding package, off-the-shelf party appearance or guaranteed acceptance of a small commission. A professional event-production buyer must establish feasibility, budget, lead time, operator arrangements and permissions directly. Famous portfolio characters are not promised for rental or licensed reproduction. The entire company is consolidated rather than splitting its shops, performers or productions into extra vendors.
