The railway’s Be the Engineer program lets eligible participants operate a vintage steam locomotive under a certified engineer’s direct supervision. Separately, its event program offers train charters and weddings at the preserved railroad.

Engineer experience requires age 18+, a valid driver’s license, training/test and physical eligibility. It is not permission to drive a wedding passenger train; charters and weddings require separate arrangements.
