Personalized fish-impression artwork
Commission a physical fish print from your catch or an artist-selected specimen
Dan Derby Art
Dan Derby offers personally commissioned gyotaku artwork made from a client-supplied fish or a specimen selected by the artist. Clients can discuss the species, size and composition of the physical impression; this is an original-art commission, distinct from the separately sold reproduction prints.
Current location note / listed area: Blue Point, New York studio; original artwork commissions by inquiry
Contact the artist before sending or delivering any specimen. Confirm permitted species, provenance and permission, condition and material acceptance, selected printing method and support, design, framing, shipping or pickup, price and lead time. Some individual shop works are sold out; neither stock status nor an inquiry guarantees commission acceptance. Framed originals are described as local pickup only. No fishing trip, live event workshop, food suitability, sourcing legality, ethical certification, archival performance or exact likeness is promised.
