Earth-sheltered storybook and treehouse getaways
Spend the getaway inside an earth-covered woodland dwelling
Purposely Lost / Littlefield Retreat
Littlefield Retreat offers actual earth-integrated, Hobbit-inspired dwellings alongside elevated treehouses. Fern Hollow has curved walls and ceilings, wood-and-stone details and a private outdoor living area; the operator expressly welcomes romantic escapes and special-occasion stays rather than just offering a themed hotel room.
Current location note / listed area: Springvale, Maine; private overnight accommodations at Littlefield Retreat
Lodging only: no wedding ceremony, reception, outside-guest party permission or full-property buyout is established. Confirm unit capacity, dates, access, amenities and house rules directly. The site gives differing street numbers in its FAQ and footer, so verify arrival instructions.
